Reassigning supervisees
Move a supervisee from one supervisor to another as an HR admin, with transfer history preserved for the audit trail.

What you’ll need
- An HR admin account
- A destination supervisor on the team
This guide is for HR admins. When a supervisee changes supervisors, for example a supervisor leaves or a caseload rebalances, reassign the supervisee so the new supervisor picks up their record without losing history.
Reassign a supervisee
- From the team page at
/dashboard/teamor the roster, choose the supervisee. - Reassign them to the new supervisor.
AuditHalo ends the current supervisor assignment and creates a new one. The supervisee's hours, sessions, and evidence stay intact; only the supervising relationship changes.

History is preserved
Reassignment does not erase the prior relationship. AuditHalo records:
- The end of the previous assignment.
- The start of the new assignment, marked as transferred from the previous supervisor.
This transfer chain is part of the audit trail, so a reviewer can see who supervised a clinician and when. See Reading the audit log.
Note: Sessions already signed by the previous supervisor remain valid and sealed. Reassignment changes who supervises going forward; it does not alter past evidence.
What's next
- Work the roster after a change. See Managing your roster.
- Confirm the change in the audit log. See Reading the audit log.
